Alot of those are DUH!! Were you born in a barn? (whatever that means)

MYTH: Stretching before exercise prevents injuries and enhances performance.
REALITY: Researchers are still scratching their head over this one, since studies have yet to show conclusively that limbering up has any effect on staving off strains and other injuries. But they do know that stretching regularly can make bending, reaching, twisting and lifting easier. Best move: Save your stretching for post-exercise, when muscles are warm.

And now its been shown that stretching before exercises can actually decrease strenght and endurance somewhat. So now they certainly recommend warming up but taking it easy on stretching before.

Here's the thing: it does matter about the 30 minute exercising/intervals. Your body will go into fat burning mode once your heart beats up to a certain amount of beats per every 12 or so minutes. Gotta get that heart pumpin' to get the fat stumpin'.
