Natrually, when you go to start it again you will need to prime the carbs, but this way there is nothing left in there to gum up (for the most part).
I was thinking about that as I was cleaning them. Come to find out there is no fuel shutoff on the 500. Looked into it. Cant even buy one for that sled. Don't get it. Some of them had one that year, some didn't. Of course I could always rig something up. Wouldn't be that hard to do. I wonder if just pulling the plug out of the bottom of the float pan would work? Not sure.

It's a toss up between Ice Fishing or Snowmobiling this weekend.

couldn't you splice in a small stopcock on the incoming fuel line?

That's what I'm thinking. Shouldn't have to be anything special? The mounting bracket and everything is already there for it. The gas line just makes a loop through it. Should be relatively easy I would think. Laid off for the next couple of weeks. Will give me something to do.

Just find a fitting that fits the tubing size... beyond that, make sure it flow enough and closes completely.

An inline fuel filter is never a bad idea either.

I would be happy with even a dumb bitch at the moment... I am lonely, bored and um... bored some more.
