Default My new Giant Defy 3

I've been shopping around for a nice road bike... preferably one with super awesome components, a light weight frame and top-notch wheels. After realizing that what I want and what I need are easily $1,000 different from each other I opted to go with a bike that is suitable for my needs. I finally got around to visiting my friend Matt's new bike shop and was impressed. The shop itself is not too shabby, the selection is expanding (a shipment of 25 new bikes is due tomorrow), he runs a one man show and is as good to me here as he was when he worked at Cycle Masters! After a long discussion about what I was looking for in a bike, what I wanted to achieve with it and about how much I wanted to pay he pointed me towards the bike I now own. At first glance I was taken in by its simple, but nice color scheme (it is almost a spot-on match of my old Honda that got totalled), the component list and frame were not that of bikes I had been eyeing, but neither was the price. At the end of 4 long test rides, several errands ran for Matt and some absolutely awesome incentives... well, I was no longer in the market for an all-out race bred machine.

As an aside, he hooked it the eff up on another pair of Oakleys (I have like 6 or 7 pair now), threw in some cages, bottles, stickers, c02 cartriges, tubes, a wireless Cateye Strata cycle computer and free repairs for life!

After riding this... I don't need anything better for the moment!

Here is the great man himself (my friend Matt)

Probably. From what I have found, the rims weigh in at 435g each (exactly the same as a Mavic Open Pro) and are a similar profile and construction to the Open Pro (a knock-off perhaps).

Nice ride brother! The more i think about it, the more i want a road bike. I rarely use my BMX bike...and alot of my friends are into long distance biking. How much did it cost you? if you dont mind me asking.
