Default 2009/2010 NFL Season

The 49ers scored Michael Crabtree with the 10th overall pick.

That is all.

The local paper liked the Jags pick of an offensive lineman with their first pick. ( I am spacing on the guys name at the moment and to lazy to look it up.)

Linemen are usually a safe pick and can often become starters their first season!

The 49ers first pick was used on a wide receiver (Michael Crabtree) that can hopefully start this season. With Isaac Bruce returning for this season, I'm hoping he can teach the young receiving corps for the 49ers what it's all about. Crabtree was the #1 college receiver in the country the past 2 seasons, but that doesn't mean squat at the NFL level. Arnaz Battle is back and healthy, Bruce returned, they signed Brandon Jones from the Titans and the two youngsters last season (Josh Morgan and Jason Hill) are returning in good health. It will be interesting to see who starts and who will be their leading receiver, but at this time at least they have some depth now.

The 49ers drafted Glen Coffee (running back) in the 3rd round. Hopefully he can help Frank Gore and keep him fresh.

They also grabbed an inside linebacker, a dyslexic QB, a tight end and free safety.

The 49'ers also drafted Kory Sheets a RB out of Purdue. He was a good solid runner at Purdue but might be a little undersized to be an every down back.

Frank Gore will be their every down back, they have made that clear. I think they were just looking to supplement him with some other backs to keep him fresh and healthy.

Anybody else have input on their team's draft? If not we can retitle this thread the 2009 NFL Season and discuss that instead.

MN got Percy Harvin. That will work out well, assuming Tarvaris doesn't blow too much. They're also looking at Brett Favre maybe coming out of retirement and playing for them...

Why can't Favre commit to one thing or the next? Is he retired, or active? He needs to choose one and stick to it.
